This video was part of my Summer 2019 Design Internship at rfxcel. My graphics were created in Adobe Illustrator and animated in Adobe After Effects. The main objective of this video was to show the different use cases of the software and show how it connects any supply chain for food and beverage. Making this gave me a lot of insight about the industry as well as being able to design for a particular audience. I learned how to take a complex process make it into a story that more people can understand visually. This project taught me how to visually communicate with multiple audiences.
As a contracted Product Designer, I was able to wear multiple hats. I created the logo, branding, moodboards, personas, storyboards, website, videos, and digital content. https://www.goroameo.com/
Confluence is a non-profit organization that fosters mentorship for minorities. I was contracted as a Product Designer to design their logo, website, branding, memos, iconography, and other infographics.
In 2018 my graphic design work at rfxcel consisted of creating these web-headers for the different pages of the official company website. Each header had to relate to the theme of the webpage, giving users a graphical diagram to help deliver the main message.
As a graphic designer, I created these social media templates in Adobe Illustrator for blog posts, speaker events, holidays, LinkedIn, and other announcements for the marketing department at rfxcel. I drew inspiration from company icons that represented rfxcel’s different customers in the supply chain. My goal in this project series was to generate more website interaction and get users excited about the post.
These graphics were also designed for rfxcel’s company website in 2018. Drawing the Food Miles Traceability Graphic was one of my favorite projects because I had more creative freedom to choose the style and the types of food represented.
The challenge presented was to design an attractive, sustainable, functional food or beverage product containing a randomly generated edible bug. Yes a bug! My bug was the Sago Palm Weevil which was known for its protein and mineral nutritional content. I decided to go with a spritzer, not just because of the alliteration, but because I really wanted my product to appeal to the current market and design for an audience that was easy to understand in the short amount of time given.

For the first project, I used SketchUp to draft my 3D model of a building in inspiration of Thailand’s architecture. I modeled the top to resemble the this basket that is used to steam sticky rice, one of my favorite Thai comfort foods. I made my prototype model using foam board and an exact knife.
The second project, my 3D table, was created using VectorWorks and Artlantis. My favorite part of the project was choosing my materials at the end and also modeling the furniture form after waves & hexagons.
I created the designs using Adobe Illustrator for both front and back of the chapter house. In collaboration with my crafting committee, we were able to replicate my designs exactly to fit the outdoor canvas proportions. The first two designs were for 2018 and the last two designs were for 2019. This gave me knowledge working in large scale, designating skills, and leadership experience.
These designs were printed for my entire sorority
Starting as Director of Merchandising to becoming Vice President of Marketing at UC Davis Alpha Phi, I got the experience of designing the apparel for philanthropy events, sisterhoods, parents, and the executive board. Designing for multiple audiences taught me to follow trends, develop empathy, and understand peoples’ wants and needs. Working with multiple vendors, gave me great negotiation and communication skills. By the end of my term, I had a strong grasp on how to pick the best fabric, style of clothing for the season, color coordination, and bold but elegant logo design all while staying within my budget.
