I’m Catherine Ratana-Kelley, a Senior Accessibility Designer 👩🏻💻 from SF 🌁 now living in Austin, TX 🤠.
I’m also a samoyed mom 🐶, baker 👩🏻🍳, tennis player 🎾, acrylic painter 🎨, plant enthusiast 🪴, former competitive figure skater ⛸, traveler ✈️ , and coffee lover ☕️.
I graduated from UC Davis with a BA in Product Design and a minor in Computer Science. From giving small organizations a brand & a voice through digital transformation, to delivering projects for specialized domains at large corporations, I have designed for many audiences: B2B, B2C, and B2B2C.
Currently, I am a Senior Accessibility Designer on Microsoft’s Xbox Design System Team working on scaling accessibility. Previously, I was a User Experience Designer at CDK Global, modernizing enterprise software experiences for car dealerships and rethinking the consumer online car buying experience with Roadster.
I am passionate about Accessibility Design opportunities and aim to improve technology for people with disabilities. I’m a certified CPACC, Certified Professional in Accessibility Core Competencies.
Recently, I had the opportunity to speak at UT Austin about creating accessible design systems. This experience allowed me to educate college students about the importance of accessibility and how to design for people with disabilities at the system and product design level.
